Mercenaries can be added to games with any number of players. With fewer players, the mercenaries add new pieces to the board, increasing the tension and giving you more tactical options. With more players, some mercenary cards are flipped to reveal new special abilities to win and allow you to explore unique and powerful strategies.
Flamebearers/Rat Smugglers
Burn everything down with the Flamebearers or send out special orders with the Rat Smugglers.
Street Band/Popular Band
Draw attention to yourself with the Street Band or put on a Woodland show with the Popular Band.
Dungeon Keepers/Vault Keepers
Guard the ancient ways with the Vault Keepers or protect yourself from harm with Badger Bodyguards.
